Securit GB Ltd is British manufacture based in Chesterfield Derbyshire producing purpose metal built units for storing items such as motorbikes (Securit Bike Store), mobility scooters (Securit Scooter Store) and many more. With the increasing nationwide problem of home fuels theft, Securit GB Ltd have developed a new product call Securit Tank Guard.
As a SME company, all products are designed and manufactured in house. This enables the development of bespoked and new products quickly. Due to the two directors (Phil Churm and Caroline Moore), innovative designs and inspired marketing ideas, the company was awarded the runners up prize in the 2007 Barclays Bank Trading Places Award and this year came 70th in the National list of 100 Startups by Crimson Publishing.
Securit Tank Guard is a product that can be fitted to the majority of home fuel tanks including the retrofitting to existing tanks. They are designed as simple, solid, secure enclosures. The concept of the Securit Tank Guard is 1.2 mm thickness galvanized metal panels bolted around the existing tank. The metal panels are then coated in Polyester powder coatings. To gain access for filling and maintenance for the oil tank the Securit Tank Guard is fitted with access hatches and designed to be dismantled, if required.
Securit Tank Guards are supplied flat packed with all the fixtures and fittings. The majority of the panels are bolted internally, but the few external bolts are fitted with nylock nuts to prevent exposed bolts being removed. All exposed fixings are bright zinc plate, all hinges are stainless steel. A heavy duty hasp and padlock is supplied.
